Gallery, museum or archive educator

QUOTE: 'I think the visual stimulation was the spark that set the children thinking. Children started stretching beyond what they saw in the picture and started stretching their imaginations.' Librarian describing gallery session

The Gallery, museum or archive educators’ role:
• identify possible themes
• communicate potential approaches and work closely with all partners, particularly the author
• gather relevant information and materials
• make practical preparations for the workshop visit
• inspire authors, teachers, library staff and young people with your own knowledge and enthusiasm for the pictures and artefacts in the collection.
