What is MLA London?

MLA London is responsible for the management and continued funding of the Young Cultural Creators programme in the London region.

MLA London is one of nine regional agencies core funded by MLA - the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council. The nine regional agencies and MLA Council form the MLA Partnership. Together we work to improve people's lives by building knowledge, supporting learning, inspiring creativity and celebrating identity. The Partnership acts collectively for the benefit of the sector and the public, leading the transformation of museums, libraries and archives for the future.

The four aims of the MLA Partnership are to:

  • Increase and sustain participation
  • Put museums, libraries and archives at the heart of national, regional and local life
  • Establish a world class and sustainable sector and put it on the best footing for the future
  • Lead sector strategy and policy development

Further information about MLA London and the MLA Partnership is available online at www.mlalondon.org.uk and www.mla.gov.uk, respectively.
