YCC and SeaBritain 2005

Working with schools

The main partners for this YCC model are

  • the library
  • a museum, archive centre, gallery, or other inspiration site
  • a local school.

A YCC programme with a SeaBritain theme will link well with many aspects of the National Literacy Strategy and the National Curriculum at all key stages.

On the SeaBritain website you will find a very useful section

Connecting with schools: a curriculum toolkit for learning providers which will help you in focusing on a theme for your YCC programme to tie in with schools' curriculum work.

You will also find information here which will help in the practical planning of activity sessions.

Also useful is the Running a Project  section on this website, with practical guidelines for putting your project in place.
